The Difference Between Microwave and Shortwave
Shortwave is frequencies between 3 MHz to 30MHz and microwave is around 10 GHz. It depends on the applications because microwave can travel up to 15 miles and then you need a repeater. While shortwave can travel thousands of kilometers without requiring any repeater. The physics implication of higher or lower frequencies allows shortwave to travel long distance without scattering through the atmosphere.
