The Coercive Mechanisms of Modern Capitalism

The system of wage labor and the prison that it serves as is upheld through modern capitalism by a number of different mechanisms. We take these things for granted but rarely regard them as an intentional set of rules designed explicitly to keep us in chains. One of the main examples of these coercive mechanisms is the US healthcare system. Universal healthcare, like Medicare for All, will save the business class an enormous amount of money and they're still against it. Why? Because that's like a power point. It just gives the workers less bargaining power.
