What Happened to Sophie Wilder by Christopher Beah is a newer novel I believe 2012. It's a sort of a two narrative story about a partially failing author he's just Charlie who was enamored with in college named Sophie Wilder. This dual narrative plays with Charlie learning what it looks like to live alongside and no longer in the orbit of a woman who centered his whole world but also Sophie Hearing Sophie's narration of everything from redemption to forgiveness that she sees as she cares for her father-in-law and converts to Catholicism.
