The Problem With Thomas' Metaphysics

The whole point of choice theory was the terms of this game are not set by us to begin with. The modern Thomists have sort of adopted the kind of CS Lewis notion that damnation is a free resistance to God, freely chosen and therefore God simply doesn't violate because out of his precious concern for his autonomy. But according to Thomas' own metaphysics, that doesn't make sense. It makes me think of 17th century joke in England, to thank God for all the evil that the king neglected to do.
