I think that the reason why republics join te commonwealth a ad with the tittitular head of state as the monarch, is because they see the deficiencies in their own polity. And i think it's very clear that the queen was instrumental in growing the commonwealth. Nobody whos involved her with the commonwealth w would think otherwise. So i think that th on the the positive side of of the copy book, if you will, is very strong and very evident. The popular support is the i suspect charles will be more successful than people imagine,. quite simply because he will be an idealistic and romantic, non partisan voice for what most people think.
