Chris Malavin and James McGregor
Chris Malavin, 27, tried to kill key witness James McGregor in January 2014. He was driving a Silver Audi A3 with his brother Zico Malavin as passenger. The 54-year-old ran off but was struck by the car and fell onto the road. In May 2014, Stephen Sulli, who was only 17 when he was one of the original trio convicted for the murder of Andrew Curran-Synia, was deemed safe enough to be freed early from prison sentence. Six months later, on Christmas Day in 2014, Malavin stormed a house party before attacking 25-year-olds Robert Eadie and repeatedly hitting him in acts and using a knife.
