The Different Mechanisms of Sound Production Within Fish

Fish have this wonderful diversity of a vocal mechanism. The most common are these muscles associated with the swim bladder, the gas bladder in the fish's belly. Ah, but they'll grind their teeth. There is just a really amazing diversity of anatomical mechanisms that are also used for sound production within fish. And so one of the things that i had started doing with my collaborators is saying, ok, whill we have this in a collection of fish that have been documented, will how many is it?
