The Meaning of 666

A lot of the imagery in Revelation has to do with first century Rome, its domination system and this sort of thing. It also talks about a principle that applies at all times in all places: 6 is what some of them used for the number of humanity. And so 666 can mean the spirit of humanism or of doing things in the fallen human way without consideration for what God does.
