What Is Spasmodic Tortocalus?

Spasmodic tortocalus is a type of distonia, a shockingly complex array of neuro muscular disorders. Distonias are caused by problems with voluntary movement centrs in the brain. The most common form involves sustained, unilateral, involuntary contractions of the neck rotators. If none of these things brings any relief, then more in vasive options include deep brain stimulation or surgery to disrupt portions of the basil ganglia. i want to make it clear, i am not promoting any special approach to this very challenging problem.
