Steiner claims every seven years you have a new organism in terms of the substances that it replaces. He says we are not just alive but i'm also sentient and he can clearly see it in plants pain pleasure, ascension, drives, passions, all this stuff is happening in them and it's happening in us. These bodies were in a different relationship to each other which resulted in a completely different experience of the world than we have today. Steiner uses his theory to talk about how consciousness has occurred because at certain times we weren't really accessing our consciousness through the brain.
