Some parents of eihtyt kitos are often tempted to help your child see eighth d through the lens of being a gift or a super power. And i'm concerned that labelling idh t as a super power is doing more harm than good in the ihh d community. One of the reasons why i believe this is true is because labelling ight h d as a superpower actually invalidates people who are struggling. I'd rather my child understand the challenges of ight H D and wish they didn't have it, than view it as a superPower and either not take it seriously or think there's something wrong with them due to their mental health diagnosis.
