The Unfairness of Western Individualism

As Westerners, we've achieved a level of material prosperity where we literally expect that the playing field should just be completely even. I think there's another sense in which Christ's atonement won't make sense to us as long as we're clinging to sort of a radical individualism. We are all tied into even in an economic sense, the well-being of everybody else.
