Is There a Standard Behavior in C?
There's a ioso c standard. The idea there is that it defines the language from the perspective of an abstract machine. We haven't been able to yet formalize that this is what the rust language should do in the general case, regardless of which compiler is being used. But i guess we have this base line with the se standard. And going back to original son, it's not so much that we don't know what rest will do, it's that we kind of use the existing implementation, the main line rest compilers as a specification.
