Do You Celebrate Thanksgiving in America?

While living as a Chinese American and cultural ambassador in the United States, you were celebrating Thanksgiving. Did anyone invite you to their Thanksgiving festivities or did you celebrate it in any small way? Not that far. We are okay with the shopping and the like Thanksgiving dinner and also the family gathering. But the parade, maybe like we will watch it on the news if the TV is on. Not so much football. For me personally, I don't quite get football games.
