What Impact Did Reading the WRIHT's Report Have on Policy Making?

Tim newburn says the one dramatic impact it did have was on teresa may, who came along to our conference in december 20 eleventh and announced a big shift on stop and search. The only thing they did of any substance that had any link with the riots was something called the troubled families programme. And that was it, pretty much. There was a low level public inquiry, which did very little, and everyone then forgot about - but i think people continue to talk about it. So it's hada small effect on our sense and memory of these things.
