Why Would the Administration Leak That Story?
Ruben Navarrette: It's very hard to tell the difference between an intentional and leak authorized, even though they called this person a senior administration official. The obvious reason it wouldn't be is because Biden has to get another huge package of aid through the Congress. And he's more likely to get it if the Congress thinks we're giving them this aid, but we're pressuring them to negotiate using it as leverage rather than giving them a blank check.
