Why Did You Hire Robin Hanson?
i voted on each of these hires. I votedo them. For a lot of them, i was on the hiring committee. Robin hanson's a good example. When we hired robin, he was much older than a typical assistant professor would be. So i though, you know, we need to hire robin. Robin is different. And robin wrote papers i thought, we're crazy. But he clearly also was a genius. He made a good impression on a lot of other people,. and he's with us ever since. Was it obviously a good decision to hire them at the point where you did?
