The Importance of Incentives in Research Ethics

We could see the purchase of neatly shrink-wrapped styrofoam containers of meat as providing an analogous incentive to the hunter or the butcher. I think we've got some reason to avoid eating meat, even if it won't do any good. And this isn't a matter of not encouraging, it's just trying to keep one's hands clean.
