The Importance of Saints in Catholicism
In Catholicism, the Virgin Mary also plays a very important role, but she's not God. She's something in between. And then you have saints and saints really act as they don't intercede on our behalf. They haven't got a direct line to God, but they can help us become closer to God. We can emulate their practice to become more Christ-like,. Not to be Christ, not to be a saint ourselves, but to be good people.
