The NASDAQ 100 is a broad index that includes tech and software names. Some of these stocks were incredibly discounted at the start of this year, says John Defterios. The market was pricing for a significant decline in earnings to come, he adds. But many companies have announced cost-cutting measures which has helped some near-term recovery.
