This is the sentient being, the jeva, the one which calls itself serva priananda. What is that awareness shining on a mind with its own distinctive cluster of impressions, personality, history, lights it up? And this mind, this lit up mind, we call this the reflected consciousness in the mind, the mind, which reflected consciousness. Now it deploys a series of instruments of knowledge, sanscrit pramana. Then this mind, with its lit with its reflected consciousness, borrowed consciousness, borrowed light, is now become a knower. In Sanscrit Pramea, and you get a knowledge prama. So knower, knowable object, instrument of knowledge
