The Dead Body of an Old Woman

In Edinburgh, there is a rip roaring trade in dead bodies. In the schools of anatomy where students train to be surgeons, they need a constant supply of subjects for dissection. The police would have known which doctors gave the best money. So from the point of view of Superintendent Fisher, it made very good sense to try Dr. Knox first of all. It's one of Knox's assistants, David Paterson, who leads Criminal Officer Fisher to his gruesome discovery.
