John Major's Speech on the Criminal Justice System

John Major made a speech last night saying basically criticizing the criminal justice system. He said, we're told prison works and to the extent it holds the words of criminals in custody, it does. But I do not believe our justice system is well served if it also in prisons,. Those who could be better punished by non-custodial sentences. Going to use the word rehabilitation is taken by my name is code for being soft on crime, for being gullible. A do-gooder who cares more for the villain than the victim.
