I don't think that the ultra orthodox way is sustainable from a culture point of view. I'm not optimistic that people who are born into poverty will do well for themselves and find a way to harmonize their tradition. What matters more is the authenticity of the commitment rather than the specifics of the commitment like I would much rather people be whole-hearted and thoughtful about how they engage then come up with the right answer.
