The Last Betrayal of General Gonzales

General Gonzales could not get anyone in Marjolos to turn on Zapata. The final betrayal could only come from outside the family. In mid-March 1919, a colonel in the federal army named Jesus Guahardo got in trouble with General Gonzales. Colonel Guahardo had been ordered to go out on patrol in the mountains but instead was found drinking in a local bar and he was arrested.
