What Is the Difference Between Perception and Action in Neuroscience?

The old view of perception and action in neuroscience used to be that the brain takes in information and processes it in some way that's perception. The newer Bayesian view is that what action is is another way of trying to minimize these prediction errors. And so if there are still errors, then you can act to bring things into line with what you hope the model of the world to be. This explicit conscious level of medical cognition is in a sense riding on top of both that perception action dynamic.
