When I was living in New York, I would think about what I was going to write on my way to the subway. So even though my word count was not actually happening on the page, I was still prepared when I got into the zone or got into a place where I could write. Even if you're only in that zone for 15 minutes, that's 15 minutes of writing that you got done. That's the important thing that we want you to take away from this.
