The Wife, the Orphan and the Stranger - What Does That Mean in Scripture?
The widow, the orphan and the stranger give us a rubric for understanding. They give us language for understanding how we have been wounded. For me, of those three, my story correlates most closely to the stranger. And it doesn't mean that i don't have widow parts in me or orphan parts in me. I do. But my story most closely allines with that of a stranger.
