i studied Michel de montaigne when i was a young tibetan buddhist o about god as the ground of being. And in looking for a more western language to express that insight, i came across the theology of poltili. The i think the this whole exploration begins, for me, as a writer, and having recognized that, particularly in mahayana buddhism, they make a very clear distinction between the project of wisdom and compassion.
