The American Railway Union Strikes

Eugene V. Debs and the delegates of the ARU decided to strike against George Pullman's railroad company. The union was founded in 1864, but it wasn't fully formed until after World War II. "We do know that we are working for less wages than we'll maintain ourselves and our families," said a Strike leader Thomas Heathcoat. 'Debs declared that, all shall march together and fight together'
