It is difficult to be prescriptive in stoicism. Violence is only the right answer when it prevents abuse of someone who cannot protect themselves. There may be instances where it's inappropriate for you to protect someone. But as is so frequently the case in all things stoic, it depends on the situation. And you must always assess things for yourself.
