How to Compile a Phrase
In the first step of the compilation process, in the step of lexical analysis, we have to do two things to sort of fix this. First, we need to like scan this text, which we could say like, it's like a line of code. And then we need to evaluate what it is and sort of break it apart. So there's actually a little friend to help us out here. It's called the lexer or tokenizer. The thing that they're doing is scanning and evaluating whatever input is given to the compiler.
