Janet-Lansbury: If we can't stop to be there for her when she's upset, then we'll say, nah, you just want to scream when I say no to you about that. This is what quality time will end up looking like hearing the feelings as we hold our boundaries. And if this is the same thing, creating that safety and accepting these disagreeable exchanges and strong feelings, this is where it starts and ends up being all those things that most of us want to be as parents.
