The Second Dimension of Advent

The first coming of christ made all the difference his dying and his rising. That's the still point around which all history revolves. The second dimension of advent has to do with the adventus christi, the coming of christ that is ing now in the life of the church. And so it's very important, everyone, on this first sunday of advent, that we do indeed look back to that moment,. something broke into history that was unexpected.
