The Unrepresentative Politics of Donald Trump

The New York Times employs several quote unquote conservative columnist, who do they employ? Well, one is Ross Dow that. And I think the closest thing they've got to someone who's aligned with the way the average conservative kind of thinks. So you see these institutions have hired people who are extraordinarily unrepresentative of the concerns of the average person. That's one reason Donald Trump was able to get elected in 2016. He spoke to the concerns of people whose positions had been systematically excluded from the public square.
