The Importance of Companionship in Open World Games

The idea of like, you know, Aloy is kind of lone wolf in it comes from the design of an open world game. And nine times out of 10, the companion is there because that's where they could build the AI and combat stuff that can't just be sprinkled willy-nilly throughout the open world. I think respecting her, um, is a huge part of that and finding her really useful and like, and contributing in a gameplay way really feeds directly into the feelings that this, that, that Aloy is discovering for her.
