The Day of the Division of Rocks
The book is framed if you take, especially the chapters I mentioned on the Tinkoto village and the temporary set situation there. In both cases you mentioned a specific ritual or part of the ritual named the corotala luna right or the day of division of rocks. It seems like your book is not so much about just resurrecting that history, but it's also about reevaluating its potential. And something I became really interested in during my research was sort of different West African understandings of what conservation might be more apt than sustainability.
