Marx's Analysis of Socialism
In this chapter, Marx looks at the development of socialist and communist literature from the various movements that produced it. In order to explain what other approaches to communism have looked like he begins by examining reactionary forms of socialism first. He also examines conservative or bourgeois socialism which emerged from the portion of the capitalist class desirous of retressing social grievances in order to secure the continued existence of bourgeois society.
