The story, as it progresses, becomes more and more a tale of how orwald learns to deal with losing people around her. She comes up really up against the limits of rationalism in this section. And she admits that she now hates psyche because psyche is on the other side of a divide between those who can see and those who can't see. The book has a lot of, really, a lot of that. This isa, i guess if one is prone to a not bearing melancholy, well, it might be a book to take in small doses.
