Russia's Sputnik project put everybody. in awe of Russia and Kennedy had just been elected in 1960. The only thing Kennedy was thinking of is, we got to beat them to the moon. Six months before the decade was out, two people walked on the moon for the first time Apollo 11 mission will get to that. But being with Douglas on the missile program, I made enough money to pay off my car.
