Chrome the Greyhound stopped to nap after coming all the way up to the third floor. He found birdie on the second floor landing, stretched out in a shaft of sunlight. Chrome leapt over him, and birdie didn't even raise his head. We laughed as we caught each other's eye. Maybe they made you dog cookies, I expect.
