The Importance of Visibility in Academic Success
Academia is obsessed with measures and with evaluations. That's how it has worked for the longest time, to create elites. It's really hard to move away from these traditional majority driven historical ways of understanding success. Visibility is so key to solving this potential issue because if someone is already visible, then maybe they have the opportunity to negotiate between those factors that might contribute to success.
