The Relationship Between Moral Sensitivity and Moral Judgment

Do children have any innate moral compass? Have they internalized some kind of inner moral compass which says what is wrong and what is right no matter what the rules and regulations are. Can you tell if a child shows signs of preferring nice people to nasty people at three or four years old? Is it possible that early interpersonal sensitivity can lead to later moral judgment? Could there be an evolutionary link between these two things? If so, how do we determine when this relationship will develop into something more permanent? We'll let you know.
