American Culture Has Never Been Static
i find the weird symmetry between so many of the right wing arguments and left wing arguments about culture to be kind of fascinating. The key difference is that all non-Western, non white, non european cultures are fantastic and must be frozen in amber. And how dare they chant? How dare we have any distorting effect on them? American has never been static. I would not want to go back to the american quisine of of 50 years ago. i don't like hats but a lot most people do.
