The Impact of Urbanization on Legitimacy

There was a lot of domestic and internal pressure in China. It's partly about the early stage of urbanization changing into, you know, more security rights and expectations. But also, there's an interaction with popular pressure and legitimacy. There are so many things where the Chinese government seems to open up to popular criticism. In some cases it just seems to suffocate all dissent.
