The Wild Geese Are Coming Home Again
"Wild geese, you do not have to be good. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves," he writes. "Whoever you are, no matter how lonely the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese." The poem was written in response to a question by Leser on his website about whether or not there is any connection between despair and poetry.
