The Psychological Effects of Extreme Deprivation on Children

Bobi was interested in extreme deprivation when he studied children suffering during the Second World War. Sadly another opportunity came for researchers to put that situation under the microscope following the downfall of the Chauchescu regime in Romania. Many infants were discovered housed in very poorly under very poor conditions in government run orphanages. So many of those children were eventually removed from the orphanages and adopted in various western countries. The evidence suggests that on the one hand adoption into a loving home is very very beneficial but it also shows that adoption into aloving home or loving home won't necessarily as it were would an end to the psychological difficulties set in motion by this very deprived experience.
