Nosticism is the view that material reality is evil. The second half of that sentence is definitely a problem and heretical. This dead fallen world is precisely what Christ comes to restore into life, to transform the world into the creation. And then the other part of nosticism that troubles me a lot is this idea that they know things that we don't know.
