Do You Have a Viewfinder When You're a Location Scout?

When you go on a location scout, do you bring a camera with you? Do you use the camera? Do you take shots as reference for later? I usually carry a camera when I'm a scout. Yeah, just because I like carrying a camera and sometimes I take photographs that I just like myself. But yeah, I'll take my own reference images because the location manager will take pictures of the location. Without knowing exactly the lens, they're very deceptive.
