Seneca had no problem with you as a stoic. You didn't have to be a monk. You could take up a public life. You could try to make the world a better place. This was an issue that was raised in our last and our epic tedious discussion. It seems like though Seneca does say things like, come on, don't dress funny. And each thing I do, a mean that conforms to reason. The same thing, the way value gets treated throughout.
